Our newest U6 boys had the best week at their very first Summer Training Week!
There were plenty of smiles, lots of fun, and great memories made as they got stuck into all the games and activities. It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm and teamwork grow throughout the week.
A huge well done to all.
U12: A light non-contact session for our U12s in beautiful sunshine on Sunday afternoon. With a football clash numbers were low, but enthusiasm was high. Super to have Evan Dalton back taking part as he works his way back to full fitness. U14: Our Senior players and management always take the time to encourage our younger players. Thanks to Barry O’ Flynn & Johnny Crowley for their words of advice to U14 player Luke O’Brien ahead of his Cork Divisional match over the weekend.
U16: U16s got off to a winning start in their opening round of the championship on Sunday evening in an away game. The lads put in a great performance to defeat Bandon in the soaring heat. Full time score Bandon 1-15 Sars 1-17.
Minor News: A huge shout-out to our Minor players who coached all the children at the Sars Summer Training Week. They were the driving force behind such a successful week, and we couldn’t be prouder of the example they set. We wish each and every one of you the very best of luck in your upcoming League Final and Championship.
Our Minor’s took on Carrigtwohill on 01st Jul in Carrigtwohill. A convincing win on the night now means that we are through to the league final (Full time score Carrigtwohill 2 :20 Sars 5:21.
The league final is fixed for 08th Jul against Midleton (See fixtures list for more details).
Adult News: With no adult fixtures scheduled this week. Our Senior and Intermediate panels concentrated on their preparation for upcoming League final fixtures. We are extremely proud to have had 5 teams qualify for League finals to date in 2026!
Other News: Summer Slam Draw: We have now entered the last week of our Summer slam draw. The draw takes place on 10th July @Sars Pavilion Bar after the Senior League Final. Tickets are still available from all club members. We had two fantastic days in Super Value this week and in Blackpool Shopping centre on 26th and 27th June. Many thanks to both for their continued support and to all our volunteers. There will daily drop offs in Sars Pavilion Bar, Monday-Thursday 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

Congratulations to Aaron O’Sullivan who played full back on the winning Cork Minor Football team today (Sunday 05th Jul). Aaron is also a member of this years Sars Minor hurling panel.
