U6: Sars U6 players of the week from the left - Kai Myers, Billy Murphy, Ruben McGill , Elliott Ryan. U8: Our U8 boys hosted Midleton in Páirc Tadhg MacCárthaigh on this sunny Saturday morning (11th July). Mighty hurling skills and great fun had by both teams. U12: Busy week for our U12s. Division 1 team had a very competitive challenge away to Glen Rovers captained by Jacob Carrol.
Division 3 side played Douglas in first round of league captained by Chullain Long.
Division 6 group put in a huge performance in challenge v Inniscarra captained by Aaryn Collins. Also pictured Fionn, George, Fionn, Ollie and Zac with the All Ireland and Munster football cups in Carrigtwohill recently.
U13: Our U13 took on Carrigtwohill in their league clash on 09th July ending the game with a comprehensive win. (Full time score Sars 5:08 Carrigtwohill 2:04)
U14: The 14 group took on Eire Og on 08th July at home in Kiely Park in an evening fixture. (Full time score Sars 4:10 Eire Og 2:12)
U16: Our U16s Premier 2 team travelled to Bandon on 05th July. Delighted to have secured a 1 point win on the night. (Full time score Sars 1:17 Bandon 1:16)
Minor News: Our Minors made it all the way to the Premier 1 league final against Midleton. The game was played on a scorching evening in front of a huge crowd in Cloyne. Unfortunately it wasn't our night and Midleton left with the league cup. (Full time score Sars 0:17 Midleton1:26) we will face Midleton again soon in the championship. To see the article click here Adult News: Our weekend of adult fixtures commenced on a balmy Friday evening in Carrigtwohill (10th July), where we took on Midleton in the Red FM Division 1 Hurling League Final. It was always going to be a tense affair following our loss in the last group game only 2 weeks ago where Midleton came out on top. Thankfully on this occasion Sars were victorious and have successfully retained the Conroy Cup for the fourth successive year. Tremendous performances all over the pitch. Our Intermediates ventured to Cobh on Sunday 12th July for our second league final of the weekend. The team was a beautiful mix of youth and experience. Taking on Aghada on a sun drenched afternoon in this Red FM Division 6 league final. Cian MacCarthy shone up front registering a hat-trick, with goals also from the lively Sam McNamara and Luke Hackett. Delighted to bring the cup back to Páirc Tadhg MacCárthaigh.
