U9: Our U9’s took to Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Wednesday afternoon as part of the Cork GDC go games campaign. It was great to see Sars so well represented with both players and parents turning out in great numbers. Our lads worked very well together and had a great run out in the stadium. Thanks to all parents and especially coaches for taking time out for this mid-week afternoon session! Another great memory for this group of players.
U10: Our U10 squad had great games against Fermoy & St. Catherine’s this Saturday morning in Kiely Park. The group now start preparation for our annual Donal Buckley Tournament on Sunday Aug 9th in Páirc Tadhg Mac Cárthaigh. We have invited teams from Clare (Doora-Bearfield) & Kilkenny (James Stephen's). Looking forward to a great day out!
U12: Our U12 boys played Brian Dillon’s in the Tank Field on Friday evening. Great game winning by 7-7 to 1-13. Captained by Peter Mullins. U14: On 23rd July our U14's took on Mallow3 in the Fe14 4B Hurling Championship in Kiely Park. Sars were victorious on the night. Full time score 4:21 Mallow 2:06.
Fe14 Premier 1 Hurling League took place in Páirc Tadhg Mac Cárthaigh on Sunday 26th July, where Sars took on Carrigaline. Full time score Sars 4:13 Carrigaline 2:08.
U16: On 21st July Sars took on Glen Rovers in Fe16 4A Hurling Championship in the Glen Field. Full time score Sars 1:18 Glen Rovers 3:07
Our Premier 2 team took on Shandrum in the League Final in Castletownroche on Friday evening. Unfortunately it wasn't our night. Full time score Sars 3:09 Shandrum 3: 25
Minor:
Minor Championship started with a bang on Wednesday night in Páirc Tadhg Mac Cárthaigh with a double header on the cards. First up our Premier 1 Minors took on Blackrock. It ended all even on the night. It was am amazing come back from our last who trailed at one point by 7 points. Full time score Sars 1:20 Blackrock 2:17. Read the Evening Echo article here
The second game featured was the Fe18 Division 1 Section 1 Hurling Championship where Sars second Minor team took on Bride Rovers. Full time score Sars 0:16 Bride Rovers 6:26
